Training ends. The hazards don’t. Linework will always carry risk, but serious injuries and fatalities should never be accepted as part of the job. This session picks up where formal instruction leaves off and examines how field oversight, communication, and accountability keep safe work practices alive long after the class is over. Chris Beach and his co-presenters will challenge attendees to consider how complacency, inconsistent reinforcement, and the normalization of risk shape decisions in the field, while offering insight into what trainers and leaders can do to close the gap between what gets taught and what actually gets practiced.
