T&D PowerSkills Re-Train-the-Trainer (Part 1 of 2) with Mack Turner, CUSP and Jerry Havens, COSS

Compliance and Alternative Use of Heavy Equipment with Jim Vaughn, CUSP

This session looks at the use of cranes as man-lifts and loaders as forklifts. Most users don’t realize that lifting personnel with a crane is prohibited by OSHA without very clear exceptions that will soon be eliminated. Adding forks to a loader can cause employers an expensive error in post-incident litigation and trouble with OSHA. Learn when you can and when you can’t by reviewing the applicable laws and consensus standards.
